Heavy pitches, mud and standing water were the order of the day this weekend as our Swans went into battle. A few of our teams saw their games called off due to the endless drizzle, but there were still five teams in action. Find out how they got on and discover who made our team of the week!

It was a wet and muddy start to 2026 for our U17s, away at Oldswinford FC.

Unfortunately, the tricky conditions meant we couldn’t settle into our style of play and the opposition raced into a 4-0 lead by half time.

We kept up the effort in the second half, but the opposition pressed on and the game finished 11-0.

Player of the match went to Lee, his never ending running and positive attitude was great to see.

Our Under 13s returned to the pitch following a lengthy lay off.

We welcomed Academy Kicks to Mill Lane, looking to get revenge following a last ditch equaliser that ruined our 100% record at the start of the season.

In a close fought game we twice took the lead, but were pegged back on both occasions. Ending up with a 2-2 draw.

Player of the week was our midfielder Josh, who didn’t stop running and kept trying to play forward, battling hard at all times.

Our U11s hosted KGV Raiders Raptors on Saturday morning on a heavy pitch at Mill Lane.

The visitors brought a physical game to DY11, with drama from start to finish.

Our Swans played some fantastic football at times and showed great composure in front of goal.

There were goals from Mason, Samuel and George, and a player of the match performance from Fred.

Having not played since mid-December, our U10s were finally back in action.

Our Swans flew out of the blocks, with a dominant display of attacking football. We scored a free kick straight from a KDB highlight reel, however it was chalked off for reasons unknown!

In the second half the performances of both teams levelled off, changes had an effect and it knocked the Swans out of their flow, and with a loss of shape we were made to suffer.

It was a good run out with some fantastic performances all round and training ground work clearly showing.

AFC Worcester Vertis hosted our U8 Boys on a bitterly cold Saturday morning.

Despite the cold, our Swans were quick out of the blocks and took a deserved early lead. Goals from our right midfielder and striker in the opening 10 minutes gave us a solid start.

The second half was a reversal of the first, with the hosts starting strongly. It took two goals from our two forwards to level the game, with our one striker bagging a brace.

Our player of the match went to our defender for a solid performance in defence, conceding no goals whilst he was on the pitch, and making some good passes to the players in front of him.

Well done to all these superstar Swans for making it into our team of the week.
