With Bonfire Night out of the way, attention turned to the bangs of tackles, flashes of genius and explosions of team skills lighting up our matches this weekend. Find out how our teams got on and check out this week’s team of the week!

Our U8 Boys travelled to face Leigh and Branford Badgers Lazio on Saturday.
The game was billed to be a close affair, and it lived up to that billing!
Both teams started brightly, with the Swans making good progress down the right, but only having the one goal to show for all their efforts.
The second half had the feeling of a cup final, with the action going from one end to the other and back again.
The players are now seeing how moving the ball between them can lead to goal scoring opportunities. Keep going boys!
Our Under 9 Swans welcomed Alcester Town to Mill Lane for a trophy match this morning.
Our opposition were top of the group and unbeaten. Despite knowing this, our Swans were more than happy to battle – and battle they did!
All 10 players gave their all for each other. We tried a different formation today and asked the boys to adapt to it.
We were under lots of pressure, but also found time for some great passages of play. Well done Swans!

Our U10s travelled to West Worcester on Saturday, where the pitches looked immaculate and we hoped the football would match.
Our Swans started the game well, with it being a fairly even affair and both sides having chances.
In the second half our standards started to slip, with some old bad habits creeping in.
However, we take the positives, with a few players standing out for dominant displays of attacking from deep – really deep in some cases!
Our U11s travelled to Westbury Celtic on Saturday.
It was a slow start for our Swans on a heavy pitch that made free-flowing football difficult.
Despite dominating possession, we struggled to turn that control into clear chances, and the home side battled hard to keep them at bay.
After the break, though, we found our stride.
The team began to adapt to the conditions, moving the ball quicker and showing great determination.
The second-half performance was full of energy, teamwork, and attacking intent.

Our U14 Girls travelled to Droitwich Ravens on Saturday with another depleted team facing a tough challenge
Our makeshift defence and stand-in goalie found keeping the opposition at bay very hard indeed.
All credit to our goalie who showed what a team player she is.
Our newest team member showed the sort of desire and determination we need as a team and fought so hard all through the match. She played on the wing and really helped the team out, charging down their players and tracking back to help our defence too.
Well done girls.
Wolverley U17 0-5 Kinver Colts
We were down to just the starting 11 players today – as were our opposition.
It was all hands to the pump from the off. Our midfield and defence stood strong, but mistakes crept in to our play mid-way through the first half – which saw us two goal behind at half time.
We had more joy in the second half, creating a few half chances, thanks to more effort and quicker movement off the ball.
Kinver extended their lead despite our keeper pulling off some brlliant saves and our defence making some last ditch tackles.
We lick our wounds and go again.

Team of the week
Well done to all these superstar Swans for making it into our team of the week.
