Storm Amy may have been paying a visit, but that didn’t stop our Swans taking flight across the weekend. All our games went ahead and our teams were resiliant in tough conditions. Well done to all of you.

Catch up on what happened below.

Our U9 Swans welcomed Rock Sports to Mill lane for a league match.

The conditions were hard to play in and the Swans had many chances to take the lead with the gusts behind them – eventually they broke the deadlock with a well worked goal.

The second half was a different story, as the Swans battled into the wind. Rock deservably pegged us back and went on to open up a gap.

Swans rallied and created some late chances and both teams went for it, making it an exciting end-to-end game.

Our U10s welcomed Worcester Raiders to Mill Lane on Satuday morning.

The match could have been a copy and paste of every game so far this season. We started on the front foot, with the majority of the first half played in the opposition half and some good running and dribbling on display.

The second half was a much more even affair with our goalkeeper making some fantastic stops.

One of our midfielders, back after a couple of weeks out with sickness, shone in a midfield role that looks custom made for him.

Our U11 Warriors travelled to Malvern on a windy Saturday morning for a match in tricky conditions.

The game was tough and the Warriors battled hard, but with a second half against the wind it was a tough ask.

A few glimpses of composure with the ball lead to some opportunities to score and they eventually got their goal.

Unfortunately the opposition continued to apply the pressure and got their rewards.

A tough day for our Warriors, but they are a relentless bunch and are ready to go again next week.

Wolverley U13 4-0 Warndon

Our U13s welcomed Warndon to Mill Lane.

It was very windy and cold and it affected both teams from the start.

The first half didn’t have much quality, although Swans had the better of the chances with one being cleared off the line.

In the second half we asked the boys to simplify the game and make better passes and that’s what they did.

We created more good chances with our striker scoring a hat-trick. We finished with a 4-0 win, keeping our second consecutive clean sheet and remaining undefeated for the season.

Wolverley U17 7-2 Lickhill Colts

Our U17s played their fixture as a friendly, winning 7-2 against Lickhill Colts.

The team received the new club kit this week and looked sharp on the pitch, pulling the shirts on for the first time.

Many thanks to sponsors Wolverley Sports and Social Club for their support to purchase the new kits.

Next week the U17s host Drakes Broughton Rangers in the County Cup.

With no league games on the schedule this weekend, our U8 Girls and U8 Boys were at a loose end – so they got together for a friendly at Mill Lane.

The match was played in great spirits (and winds!) with some great passing and moving on display.

Afterwards, players and parents gathered at Wolverley Sports and Social Club – where the kids tucked into nuggets and chips.

Team of the week

Well done to all our Swans who braved the weather and made it into the team of the week!
